Step 1: Cast On!
Follow the instructions in the video link entitled "Cast On" to cast on your first row. Cast on 12-14 stitches depending on how tight your knitting is for the Ty penguin OR 20-22 stitches for the larger penguins.
Step 2: Knit!
Continue to knit, pearl, knit-pearl, or whatever other stitch you fancy. The sweaters are in the shape of a rectangle. The Ty penguins are approximately 3 inches tall and the larger penguins are approx. 5 inches tall. one the sweaters are that "tall" or a little larger, you will want to cast of. Follow the instructions in the video link entitled "How to Knit" to learn how to knit.
I would recommend using size 10-11 US needles, chunky yarn, and knitting loosely.
Step 3: Cast Off!
Follow the instructions in the video "Cast Off" to learn how to cast off.
Then send you sweater in with your first name and what you want to name your penguin. Follow the instructions in the "You've Got Mail!" tab.
