Meet the Inspiration!
(The Little Penguins of Phillip Island, Australia)
While in Australia during December of 2013, I visited Phillip Island. Phillip Island is a small island with a beautiful landscape (including a stunning coastline and mountains). In addition to this the wildlife on Phillip Island is stunning, ranging from sea lions to little penguins. One main spectacle on Phillip Island is the "Penguin Parade". At night the Little Penguis come up from the sea to rest for the night. It is quite a sight! I was inspired when visiting the Penguin Parade becuase they had little penguins with sweaters and it seemed like a great idea for children in need. This is when I decide to form Penguins for Patients, a group that knits sweater for plush penguins to give to patients at the University of Chicago Comer children's hospital.
